    Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a cell phone that may have been thrown into the bed of a truck following the murder of a 34-year-old woman.

  • UPDATE: Wanted subject in custody

    Earlier this evening, Melissa Tidlund, previously wanted for first degree murder in connection with the death of a 34-year-old woman at a southside motel, attended the police station and turned herself in.

    Tidlund is charged with first degree murder and arson to property.

    The investigation is ongoing.

    Lethbridge Police have determined that a threat made to a local casino was a “swatting” hoax, where a false report is made to emergency services in order to trigger a response from law enforcement.

    The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has concluded its annual Christmas Check Stop campaign, resulting in the removal of 10 impaired drivers from the roads during the month-long enforcement initiative.

    Lethbridge Police have charged a man in connection to an aggravated assault outside of a local night club on December 22, 2024.

    Lethbridge Police have charged two people with first degree murder after a body was found in a southside motel room over the weekend.
