  • No use of force in more than 99 per cent of calls for service

    Last year Lethbridge Police responded to nearly 32,000 calls for service and 99.4 per cent were resolved without any use of force.

  • Statement Regarding Upcoming Hearing
    In response to a media advisory issued by the Lethbridge Police Commission earlier today regarding an upcoming hearing involving the Chief of Police, the Lethbridge Police Service is issuing the following statement to provide further context:
    A disciplinary hearing has been scheduled for next month in relation to the appeal of a complaint made against the Chief of Police that was previously dismissed as frivolous and vexatious.
  • Subject Arrested

    UPDATE: Warren Shayn McMurtrie, who was previously wanted on numerous outstanding warrants, has been located and is in police custody. Police thank the public for their assistance.

  • Police investigating pedestrian collision

    Lethbridge Police continue to investigate a collision that resulted in two pedestrians being struck by a vehicle earlier this morning.

  • Ctrl + Alt + Deceit – Tech Support Scammers take over more than just your keyboard

    Victims are led to believe a virus has infected their computer. Scammers posing as a credible technology company then gain access to their computer to "fix" it and instead run programs and alter settings that can install malware or steal personal and financial information.

  • Online Scams - Don't feed the phish!

    Online phishing scams generally involve a victim receiving a fake (or “spoofed”) but credible looking message that tricks them into sharing sensitive personal and/or financial information. 

  • Police conducting targeted enforcement project to address pedestrian safety

    Lethbridge Police are working with Alberta Sheriffs to conduct a focused traffic project aimed at addressing pedestrian safety, especially around schools and playgrounds in Lethbridge. 

  • CompStat: Wanted Subject

    Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a 51-year-old male who is wanted on outstanding drug warrants.

  • Subject Arrested

    UPDATE: Richard James Shaw, who was previously wanted on an outstanding property crimes warrant, has been located and is in police custody. Police thank the public for their assistance.
