UPDATE: Wanted subject in custody
Earlier this evening, Melissa Tidlund, previously wanted for first degree murder in connection with the death of a 34-year-old woman at a southside motel, attended the police station and turned herself in.
Tidlund is charged with first degree murder and arson to property.
The investigation is ongoing.

Lethbridge Police have charged three people with first degree murder after the body of a 34-year-old woman was found in a southside motel room.
Two males are currently in custody, and an arrest warrant has been issued for Melissa Christelle Tidlund, 23, of Pincher Creek.
On December 28, 2024, police responded to reports of a suspicious death at a motel along the 2200 block of 7 Avenue South and located a deceased female, later identified as Christina Webber, inside a ground floor room.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Division assumed the investigation and determined on December 26, 2024, two males and one female, who were all known to Webber, attended her room. The interaction, involving a firearm, resulted in Webber’s death.
The three subjects removed property from the room and fled in an SUV, which was later parked along the 500 block of 7 Avenue South and set on fire.
Webber’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary, where an autopsy confirmed the manner of death as a homicide.
During the course of the investigation, police obtained and executed search warrants at multiple properties in the city.
On December 29, police arrested a 28-year-old male as he was leaving the Lethbridge Correctional Centre after serving a weekend sentence for unrelated offences.
On December 30, police executed a warrant at a home along the 200 block of 19 Street North and arrested a 36-year-old male following a short standoff with members of the Tactical Team.
Drew Austin Waters, 28, of Cranbrook, B.C., is charged with first degree murder, arson to property, and possession of a prohibited firearm. Waters is remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in court on January 27.
Kyle Douglas Doddridge, 36, of Lethbridge, is charged with first degree murder and arson to property. Doddridge is remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in court on January 8.
