UPDATE: Fraud suspect identified

Lethbridge Police have identified a male wanted in connection with a fraud. The investigation is ongoing. 

Police thank the media and public for their assistance.

PREVIOUSLY RELEASED: 

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male in connection with a fraud. 

In November 2024, the unknown male defrauded a local bank after he opened an account, deposited a fraudulent cheque and later withdrew the funds. 

Fraudulent activity involving the account occurred in Lethbridge and Calgary, and following further investigation police determined the male could also have ties to the Vancouver area. 

Anyone who recognizes the male or has information that could assist the investigation, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file number 24024704.  Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or 1-800-222-8477.  Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to arrest.
