Police seeking public assistance to identify theft suspects

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two males in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of sunglasses.

On April 30, Community Peace Officers responded to a report of at theft at the Sunglass Hat in Park Place Mall. The investigation determined two males entered the store and while one engaged the staff member in conversation, the other concealed 10 pairs of sunglasses valued at approximately $4,000 before both men left.

The subjects were recorded on video surveillance inside the mall and were noted to leave through the south entrance on 1 Avenue South, fleeing southbound on 5 Street South. 

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the males to call 403-328-4444 and reference file 24007884. 

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.

The investigation is ongoing.
