Police seeking public assistance to identify assault subject

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown female in connection with the assault of an employee at a northside store.

On September 28, just before 6 p.m., an unknown female attended the customer service desk to return an item at Walmart along the 3100 block of 26 Avenue North. While staff were processing the transaction the female became impatient and began to cause a disturbance. She was asked to leave and subsequently struck an employee in the side of the head with a tablet causing non-life-threatening injuries. The female then fled from the store. 

The incident was recorded on video surveillance and an image of the subject is included for release. 

Anyone who recognizes the female, or has information that could assist the investigation, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24019512. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest.
