Police investigating fatal motorcycle collision

Lethbridge Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that claimed the life of a 36-year-old male.

On December 23 just after 8:30 p.m., police and EMS responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and SUV along the 4800 block of 24 Avenue South.

Investigation determined the motorcycle, operated by a 36-year-old male, was travelling westbound along 24 Avenue South when it collided with the driver’s side of an SUV that was making a left turn to eastbound 24 Avenue. The motorcycle operator was pronounced deceased at the scene. No one in the SUV was injured. 

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information to release at this time.
