Lethbridge Police Service conducting community survey
On behalf of the Lethbridge Police Service, PRA Inc. will be conducting a random telephone survey starting July 2 to gather information and feedback from the public.
Community policing is based on the principles of partnership, ownership, problem-solving and quality service, providing law enforcement agencies with the ability to respond to the unique policing needs of their community. Effective community policing requires ongoing dialogue with citizens and a collaborative approach to identify community needs and expectations.
The 2024 Community Survey will help evaluate the overall performance of the police service and citizen satisfaction, perceptions regarding safety, identify recommendations for improvement and help establish the community’s policing priorities. The results will be used to help guide the organization’s 2025 Annual Policing Plan.
Phone surveying will take place over two to three weeks. For residents who receive a call, please consider participating. Your views are important to LPS and will be an integral part of our planning process as we set our goals and objectives for the coming year. The survey is confidential and will take about eight to 10 minutes to complete.
Results will be shared publicly later this summer.
