High-risk incident resolved

UPDATE: The high-risk incident, which involved a report of a weapon, has been resolved. 

Several people were detained and police recovered an imitation weapon at the southside home, however there is no evidence at this time to support criminal charges. 

Members of the public may resume regular use of the area. 

Police thank the public for their patience and cooperation while this matter was investigated. 

No further information will be released.

Lethbridge Police are on scene at a high-risk incident at a residence along the 1200 block of 9 Avenue South. 

Members of the public are directed to avoid the area.

Parents attending Fleet Bawden Elementary School to pick-up their children are directed to use 12 Street South and go to the roundabout on the west side of the school.
