  • New playground zones to be added for automated traffic enforcement

    Starting in mid-January, an additional 42 Lethbridge playground zones will be added for monitoring by photo radar to help reduce speeding and prevent collisions.

  • Police hosting Car Seat Check Stop

    Lethbridge Police are inviting parents, guardians and anyone with young children, to attend a Car Seat Check Stop on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the east parking lot of Toys R Us (225 1 Avenue South). 

  • Child Safety Seats

    Used correctly, child safety seats are effective in reducing injury and deaths in motor vehicle collisions. Before installing a car seat, make sure you read the manufacturer’s instruction manual and the car seat section of the vehicle owner’s manual.

     

  • Pedestrian Safety

    Ensuring our roads are safe is a shared responsibility between drivers and pedestrians. As the days get shorter and we have less daylight, it's even more important that pedestrians take steps to make sure they are seen by drivers.

     

  • Share the Roads Safely with Big Trucks

    June is Commercial Vehicle month and police are reminding all drivers to do their part to share the road safely.

    With the arrival of warmer weather, more motorcycles are hitting the road and it's important for all drivers to be aware.
