Ensuring our roads are safe is a shared responsibility between drivers and pedestrians. As the days get shorter and we have less daylight, it's even more important that pedestrians take steps to make sure they are seen by drivers.
As students head back to class and traffic and pedestrian volumes increase around local schools, Lethbridge Police are reminding motorists to slow down, stay alert and obey the rules of the road.
Lethbridge Police removed an impaired driver from the road and issued 67 tickets during an ongoing targeted traffic enforcement project over the weekend.
The Lethbridge Police Service urges new drivers to drive responsibly and for other road users to be aware of novice drivers.
